This book was previously published as The Palmyra Impact.
A minor seismic disturbance in a remote section of the Pacific causes barely a ripple of concern for Kai Tanaka, acting director of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu. But when an airliner en route from L.A. to Sydney vanishes in the same location, Kai is the first to realize that a mysterious explosion has unleashed a series of massive waves destined to obliterate Hawaii. In just one hour, Kai will lose all he has ever known—including his wife and daughter— unless he can save them from nature’s most destructive force.
The most unrealistic, boring book I have ever read. By the end I’d read the first paragraph of a chapter then skip to the next chapter.15
Too unbelievable. Another Poseidon adventure.35
Didn't want to quit reading! Book is well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what will happen next. Not at all predictable. First time I've ever read this author but I plan to read more soon!!55
This is one of the best books I've ever read. It kept me inthralled throughout the book and I found it extremely hard to put down. Wonderful book.55
If you like the disaster genra, after reading this you'll know this qualifies as one. The book is well written, has a beliveable (yet predictable) plot, full of little details, including the mention of the Civil Air Patrol. The CAP's responce in the book is 100% accurate (and i should know, cuz im a cadet with the North Carolina wing)45
This is an amazing read! I literally could not put it down. A must read for anyone who enjoys heart-stopping moments and real emotion!55
Yes, it's predictable. But I loved it anyway....if you're a fan of fast-paced,over-the-top, end of the world thrillers then this is your book. I will admit I would like to see this in the theatres but for now I will recommend it in print.45
