Book 3 of the New World Series
Surviving the attack proved to be more than they could have imagined…
Months after a super-EMP attack devastated the United States, the country is now unrecognizable. Major cities are run by gangs, survivors are dying of starvation and the government is falling victim to lawlessness. Those who were prepared for the end find that they weren’t really prepared at all.
While some seek vengeance for their losses, others are determined to restore the nation. Gordon, Samantha, Sebastian, Barone, Connor and Pablo are all on different paths, but they are all in search of a home away from chaos. They are all in search of a sanctuary.
The authors has lost his touch in the last couple of books. More and more drama instead of hands on action seems to grip his mind. It’s like his just throwing words. I get lost sometimes because he confuses the characters.15
This book is great! I really like apocalyptic books and this series is very believable. Can't wait for the forth book!55
I like dystopian and apocalyptic survival literature, so the series attracted me. The story of Gordon's family and friends is interesting and believable. The story contains some useful information, but other novels in this genre do a better job of imparting practical prepper information. The most important critique I want to make is the way the character timelines don't match up. One character somehow seems to do a few weeks of activity in one day while we flash back and forth between all the other characters in different parts of the broken shards of the USA. If we suspend timeline disbelief, then this is an easy read.35
