Thousands of years of human history stained by strife, death, and sin come to an end when the King of Glory returns to earth. The satisfying conclusion of the seven years of tribulation covered by the Left Behind series portrays the return of Jesus Christ to earth in both glory and judgment at the height of the battle between the forces of evil gathered at Armageddon and the remaining Christian believers at Petra and Jerusalem. A repackage of the twelfth book in the New York Times best-selling Left Behind series.
The only reason I was able to finish this book was because I'd read so much to get this point. While the first books had a riveting storyline with excitement and excellent character development... The series than degraded into a preachy snooze fest that culminates with this absolute let down. Actual bible study is more entertaining than this. The story and characters deserved better. What a let down.15
I have just finished ready this series for the second time. I wasn't a Christian the first time I read the series as they came out. I anxiously waited one book at a time. I'm a Christian now an have read through the series again with such a different attitude. I didn't think I could enjoy it so much more the 2nd time. I'm so lucky to have a Christian husband who read it at the same time. Even more lucky to have God with me everyday and knowing I won't be living the life of the "Left Behind" Thank you Lord!55
This was a good book. The scenes where Jesus was speaking to his beloved(s) were especially touching. It was good to see the original trib members reunited. The Left Behind series did a lot to draw me to Jesus. I am thankful for series.55
I recently became a stay at home mom and realized I wanted to get back into reading. I had read the 3 prior to the series start and wanted to finish... Best choice I ever made. These books transformed me into a wonderful story but also gave me a longing for the Lord like no other. The beautiful writing of these two Author's are indeed a blessing. The Glorious Appearing was all I ever hoped for. I couldn't get enough, although I read it slower than the others because I knew it was coming to an end. I savored the last 50 pages of the book. I have to say it was wonderful. It brought laughter, joy, tears, and astonishment. The perfect end to this amazing series. I will probably be reading this series again in the future, they are just THAT good. I highly recommend all the books and give all a perfect 5 stars!55
