Coming back home was supposed to be normal.
Not that my life had ever been normal, but it was getting there.
Then I opened the door and found a man—broken, bloodied, and fighting for his life.
I don't know why, but I said I would take care of him. I had to. Needed to.
He was a mystery, showing up from out of nowhere. But he might have already stolen my heart.
The only thing I have ever wanted in my entire life was to forget who I was. Joining the military helped me do this.
Keep your head down and glide through life was my new motto. No strings, no relationships. Nothing.
Everything was working until a knock at the door had me face-to-face with the reason I was running.
So I ran—I fell into her arms, and she fell into my heart, but I know better than to think it'll last.
Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.
It’s hard to put down.45
Read the first 100 pages and the last 100 pages. Everything in between is filler. The first 100 pages really grab the reader and hold your interest. The last 100 pages are ok but in 2 pages you’re told how the father dies. BIG LETDOWN!!!15
Needs editing. Not a bad story line.35
I couldn’t put the book down. I read this within the same day. Excellent characters and plot. Highly recommended.55
It has been a long time since I have read a book this engaging. This book has just the right mixture of suspense and romance. Mayson and Chelsea admire each other from a distance for years, but some heart stopping circumstances bind these two together. Mayson is the perfect alpha hero to Chelsea, and together the two face a known enemy with the help of their family and friends. I love the build up and dedication that these two endure; and I love that Chelsea shows Mayson he does deserve to see all of the colors of a sunrise. Fantastic read! 9 days ago55
Amazing read!! Natasha never disappoints!! Can’t wait to see what’s next!55
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This series is getting better and better. I love all the books in this series but I think this is my new favorite. The story is angsty and very suspenseful. It was not a easy read but it’s also beautiful and very good written. My heart broke for Mayson and what he went through. I wanted to hug him. Love Chelsea. She’s strong and new what she wanted. I read it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. Now I can’t wait for Quinn and Willow’s book.55
Southern Heart is continuing to give us the next generation form the original cast. Next up is Chelsea’s book. She’s been in love with Mayson for years. But he’s her big brothers best friend and the bro code says that’s a no no. Little does she know Mayson has fought his feelings for his fiends little sister for years. But he needs her help when he’s beaten and left for dead. Chelsea is determined to nurse him back to health and not let her feelings get in the way. Mayson can not act on his feeling for Chelsea because he feels he’s not good enough for her. But what happens when emotions bubble over and the inevitable attraction take hold? If you love sweet, emotional, action packed, steamy love stories thiamine is waiting for you to find out!45
My heart is beyond thrilled that Natasha Madison wrote Southern Heart (Southern #5) and this new generation is better than ever. Neither Mayson nor Chelsea expected to fall for each other but when the sparks start to fly, it’s absolute magic. The broken hero and southern sweetheart are not only down to earth characters who truly deserve all the goodness, but their chemistry is very intense. I could feel the connection through the pages and I was rooting for them. And the passionate, steamy (I’ve said this several times about Natasha Madison and I’ll say it again, she never ever disappoints me when it comes to delivering HOT and enticing sex scenes) engaging and mystery filled storyline is amazing. So far, every book in this series has deep, dark secrets that you will never anticipate. Southern Heart is no exception and once again, I was absolutely stunned when the secrets were revealed. I devoured this book and there were times when my pulse raced as I was completely invested and in suspense waiting to read what would happen next. I’m definitely looking forward to reading Southern Heat, the next book in this series.55
